La investigación científica con células embrionales humanas
Abstract
Use of stem cells has become one of the greatest breakthrough in modern medicine practice, with outstanding results in treatment of hematic tumors, where further developments will be achieved in coming years. Pathologies like Diabetes, Parkinson, Alzheimer, alone with countless other diseases, do not receive effective therapies nowadays, though these should be first candidates to benefit from such cells. Research on this field deserves endorsement on ethics grounds, providing human life respect prevails over any though.
This article intends to illustrate how removal of stem cells from human embryo is not the right answer to approach research on this issue. Modern medicine practice has access to better sources, which do not pose ethical debate, to obtain cells.
