Resumo

Desde meados do século XX, o ser humano está se conscientizando sobre as mudanças negativas produzidas no planeta Terra — algumas delas causadas por ele mesmo e que colocam sua existência em perigo. Uma dessas mudanças é o aumento da temperatura média, ocasionado pelo efeito estufa. A Organização das Nações Unidas assumiu esse problema e organizou 25 reuniões de cúpula sobre o aquecimento global. O Fórum Econômico Mundial, em 2021, propôs aproveitar a crise mundial causada pela covid-19 para realizar uma “grande reinicialização”, no contexto de uma agenda globalista, que oriente a próxima reunião sobre o câmbio climático. A partir de uma perspectiva bioética, analisamos alguns componentes e estratégias de tal agenda e trazemos reflexões e recomendações. Conclui-se que a mudança climática é um tema real, mas também aumentado pela pseudociência e permeado pela política. Para combatê-lo, faltam estratégias de mitigação e de adequação, o que inclui avanços tecnocientíficos, vontade política e mudanças no comportamento humano.
