Abstract

Health profession's main goal, specially nursing practice, should be education for health as an essential tool for health care.

 

This article offers a clear view of nursing care as a response to applied bioethical1Jalues addressed toward a better patient treatment in frame of health education.

A biographical review considering ethical and bioethical issues supports discussion on basic principles of patient care.

 

Communication gaps in health education, as one of the many fall shorts of medical practice, are examined here.

 

Highlights professional behavior firmly committed to respect for individual dignity, which favors informed based decisions.
