La calidad de vida, un mensaje cifrado
Abstract
Reaching longevity with a certain degree of well-being is one of the aims of humankind since ancient times. Governments of different countries try to fulfill it through basic policies on this matter, which represent a promising response. Every one wishes well-being for ourselves and for others, hut enabled to accomplish it individually; we look forward for governments to take care of it.
Now days three terms are associated with the field of salubrity: Health, quality of life and well-being. WHO's definition of health (1998) goes beyond the bounds of quality of life, embracing the term well-being, which entitles demand for health care.
Quality of life was first brought up in social-economic literature (1964), and soon was extended to other areas. In medicine, quality of life has become one standard of medicine practice, considered the maximum welfare aim at by man; is a basic condition of life.
According to author, this naive and dehumanizing view is readily accepted worldwide by its simplicity and vagueness.
