Abstract
Since Pio xii pronouncement in 1957, confirming death verdict should be a physician expert faculty; Catholic Church has keenly followed scrutiny on debate outcomes regarding brain death, mainly through the Pontiff Academy of Science.
In fact, brain death understood as a method of advanced diagnosis on deceased condition of an individual under reanimation procedure is ethically accepted providing approved standards are cautiously observed.
