Denver´s Archbishop document
Abstract
The Humana Vitae encyclical letter has been well debate. Most of its critics have considered it as a doctrinal position against the cultural changes which have been taking place in society in the last decades.
In this document, Archbishop Denver wants to show precisely the opposite. The Humana Vitae is a visionary encyclical letter which points out the problems which society would endure after the sexual liberation which contraception allows. In addition, he draws attention to the commitment, “giving of one’s self” which must be the constituent element of sexual relations in holy matrimony.
