Abstract

Is the non-born, being of rights? Accepting the fact that it is not, this implicitly carries out the approval of practices such as abortion that neglects the existence of innate rights, the right to life.

Robert Spaemann introduces and discusses a series of arguments directed to demonstrate that the non-born is being of rights and that emancipation and hedonism which are characteristics of today´s are expressions of individualism and lack of solidarity.

Robert Spaemann, Universität München

Es catedrático de Filosofía de la Universidad de Munich. Lo fue primero en Stuttgart y en Heidelberg. Es también Honorar-Profesor de La Universidad de Salzburg. Estudió Filosofía, Historia, Románticas y Teología en Münster, Munich, Friburgo y París. Colaborador habitual en publicaciones científicas, de vez en cuando escribe en los mejores periódicos artículos que han suscitado la polémica y el interés general. Particularmente en temas éticos (Bioética, ecologismo) y de fundamentación de la política (derechos humanos, dignidad del hombre).
