The 26th Climate Change Summit was held in Scotland at the end of 2021. COP26 concluded with the “Glasgow Climate Pact,” where, for the first time in the history of these summits, the responsibility of fossil fuels for the climate crisis is explicitly mentioned. This paper reflects on what happened at the Summit, the reactions, and a prospective bioethical assessment of the agreements made. It is concluded that uncertain and changing climate science continues to pursue economic and political interests since the arrangements in these matters are permeated by ideologies that, from various fronts, are intended to spread throughout the planet.
